On a positive note I've been living life the one thing that you cant buy. During these past months I have been meditating on life and what it really means. Every morning I wake up I'm thankful for another chance, another day, another shot to figure it out. So far all I've come up with the notion that we're meant to work and slave for THE MAN. lol jk...o.k. seriously through my meditation I've come to an idea that life is a test. One big long multiple choice test. Everyday we're faced with the choice to get up or lay down. The choice to follow instruction or say "fuck it". The choice to lend and extra hand or keep walking. How we answer determines the type of life we live and the grade we receive. Who's doing the grading? Well that all depends on who and what you believe in. Some people have easier teachers than others. Some are not even enrolled in life and can care less what grade they receive (fuckin' slackers) LoL. Unfortunately for those of us who are bred to care, we have to take part of this test each day...Hoping to score high and graduate at the top of our class. If not the top @ least receive a passing grade. You know the saying "C" your way through. lol I may just be meditating way too much or I may be on to something...who knows. Either way life will go on and we will all be faced with choices...and our choice will always determine who we are and what we stand for.A synopsis of the thoughts and feelings that pass through my head on any given day. A platform to exercise my mind so that you can hear what I say. The only way you'll ever get to feel my soul's abyss...will be to stop by every once in a while and READ THIS.

The Multiple Choice of Life
Ahh...I'm back. If you're wondering where I've been, wonder no more. I've been working my ass off. Or in the words of the late great rasta man, Bob Marley...I've been running the rat race trying to make ends meet. Being grown isn't as exciting as I thought it would be, besides who the hell has time to write these days anyway? lol

Thank You Facebook...
Hola, Salaam, and Konnichi wa
After spilling my soul last week and only receiving one fan I questioned if I should come back...after reminding myself that its about quality and not quantity, I've decided to return. ( Not accounting that I have some of the best 1st followers ever!) lol . While contemplating whether to write again, I remembered that I have over 700 friends on Facebook and they're just taking their time to follow. Right? lol greatness takes time.
Hey! speaking of Facebook. Who's going to checkout the release this Friday? I heard if you're a Facebook user its a requirement; Tom said so. Facebook The Movie is a bird eyes view into the history of the website each one of us loves to death and signs into 100 times a day.
Just the other day I caught myself reading updates for like 15 min's. I slapped myself immediately after. But seriously I'm encouraging everyone to check it out... How can you NOT support a movie about a social network we all love, cherish and for some of us... can't live without? I hear the cool people saying "Who cares about the Facebook movie?" "Seriously, I'd rather go see Wall Street." Trust me seen it, kind of depressing, will have you wanting to kill your bank. If not for the obvious reasons other than that you have a freakin' Facebook account. Check it out for the historical aspect of it...in case you've been under a rock the past few years, the creator of Facebook ( Mark Zuckerberg) is THE youngest billionaire EVER!
Imagine if you would a world w/o Facebook. That means not random updates from those you care about or don't, no tagging friends in drunk pics, no reporting or blocking stockers (oh wait ) I mean ignoring people you've never seen in your life before, no posting "songs of the day" or sharing your "likes"...Social life would be so bland. Just a couple of years ago all we had was MySpace ( I just threw up in my mouth) Aim and Email . Then out of the clouds Facebook appeared to save the day. All of a sudden you could chat, send messages and post your thoughts all on one platform. Eureka! All of a sudden you didn't have to "deny" friends you could just "ignore" them...which made you feel a lil better about saying NO....Yea, social life would have been pretty pretty boring.
So come this weekend sign off your account ( calm down, you still have your mobile app) and check out one of the most inspirational stories of our generation. Facebook.

I didn't "get free" until "I gave up"
Goodnight, Good Morning, Good Day,
"Your lives are so incomplete, and nothing, and no one, can replace it" -Lauryn Hill
The first time I heard this I was 16 and had not a clue what she was taking about. I thought... maybe Lauryn Hill has really gone crazy, why else would an artist retire at the peak of their career... abruptly after releasing arguably the best album of the decade? Why would anyone in their "right" mind say audios to a music career so profitable, so prolific, so promising? (The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was nominated for 10 Grammy's, won 5... Sold over 423,000 copies in its first week, 18million over the next decade)
After 8 years of extensive research I can finally say I've discovered the answer. I tried to live up to a life that society created. I cared more about what others expected rather than following my own passions. I feared being myself and tried considerably to fit the norm. I cared more about what people thought about me more than who I actually was. All of these fears repressed my spirit and made me chase material, women and fame for security. I didn't "get free" until I "gave up".
"Your lives are so incomplete, and nothing, and no one, can replace it"
Lauryn was done living the life society had expected. Miss Hill had created a persona. A persona that she felt was keeping her hostage and not allowing her to be who she really was. She had grown tired of being a slave to the music industry, her passion became her burden. Lauryn had been living a facade and needed time to grow, to flourish and be alive.
The same battle Miss Hill started almost 10 years ago is the same battle we fight on a daily basis. Waking up each morning feeling drained and tired. Working to acquire "security blankets". Creating persona's of the perfect your name here.Trying to live up to the life others have created for us...their vision and dreams for what they believe we should be. Nothing allowing our passion to grow, flourish and live. We ourselves allow these chains of expectations to be placed upon us. Afraid to face reality and be ourselves. Afraid to seem human and make mistakes. Afraid to substitute happiness for wealth.
Let this morning, noon or night be the moment you "get free" as Lauryn did, as I did, and as many others will. You are the only ones who can complete your life. I did it by repenting, (Giving up) my insecurities and worries to God. Whether you believe in a higher power or not... no money, material or person can set you free. You must do it yourself. You must stop measuring yourself , stop comparing yourself, stop trying to fit into a standard. You are the standard. Life is supposed to be a pleasurable experience; not a torment. Sit down and clear your mind, take time out to discover how you can "Live" each day. Stop fronting. Accept your reality and "get free".
"The real you is better than the fake someone else" -Lauryn Hill
